A Blog post

I found this picture on flickr.comthat I found very moving of a man and his child on a city street. I think that the black and white makes a good effect on the picture. I am glad that the photographer did not crop in the picture because of the graffiti covered trolley. You can see graffiti everywhere and it makes you wonder where they are, but the man looks like he would do anything to protect that child and comfort it.

Photo critique, an environmental portrait.

I found this environmental portrait on flickr.com that I really think is interesting.
I think its story telling ability is very good because I don't know anything about the person in the photo but I can guess that he likes crabs a lot or goes crabbing. The photo is more focused on the crab and the mans hand which gives it a cool effect but you can still see the mans face. I cannot decide if I like this or not, if it takes away from him a little, but the crab is a great prop. I think that the photo doesn't need to be cropped or anything it is great! I like all of the effects it just makes the photo amazing!!

Photojournalism photo critique.

I found this very interesting photo on www.Flicker.com. I like this photo because of the warm colors of the bar and the sun setting in the background. Everyone looks like they are having a wonderful time. The view of Bangkok from the top of that building is beautiful. This photo makes you feel like you are rite there with the people at the bar.

My First Blog Post

I am taking photo journalism because I thought it would be an interesting class, and so far it has been. Like on Wednesday when we went out and took photos. I had fun going out to the coffee shop and meeting new people when I asked them if i could take their picture.
